It is a community of people who have been united by Jesus.
So, while we look forward to a time where we do have a physical place to call ‘home’, we are also excited about building the church community and meeting together in people’s homes and in exciting local spaces.
Anchor Bible Church is currently led by myself, George Robinson. I’ve served as a full time pastor in a local church for 7 years, before starting this church-planting journey.
Prior to pastoring full-time, I studied Theology at George Whitefield College. This gave me a solid foundation in handling God’s word. Before this, I studied an undergrad and post-grad at the University of Cape Town, and worked for a few years in education.
Bianca, my wife, is my partner in life and ministry. Together, we try our best to manage a very busy home with three young children - Seth, Lucy and Jude. Bianca works in a corporate job to support our household financially. Our dream is to one day both be able to drive the mission full time.
There are 35+ families moving to the North Coast every month, many of whom are young couples and families that are desperate to find a place to belong.
With the current church capacity in the greater Ballito area, only about 10% of the population could attend church on a Sunday. This is why we are planting here.
If you would like to find out more about Anchor Bible Church and the launch phase, let’s grab a coffee? We think that there is nothing better than talking face to face!
We would love to grow our leadership team.
But for now, we are so grateful for many individuals who have been praying for us and supporting Anchor in its infancy.
We are also very grateful for a broad network of churches we call our friends including Christ Church Umhlanga, Christ Church North Coast, Southcity Church, RedPoint Church, CommonGround Woodstock, and RedDoor Church.
We are connected to the Neopolis Network, an umbrella of like-minded churches.
Neopolis focuses on planting new churches, making sure they are pastored well, and that people are transformed by the faithful preaching of God’s Word.
Anchor also has strong ties to City to City Africa, a global church-planting training organisation, which has helped set us up with all the practical knowledge we need to embark on this bold journey.
We are looking for people to join us.
If you’re curious about Christianity, asking some big questions of life, or if you've been following Jesus for years and you are keen to explore Anchor, we will be hosting some ‘looking in’ events in early 2026.
Watch this space for more info on connecting events in the area!
If you find yourself here, we don’t believe it is an accident. Please consider some of the ways you can partner with us.
